7 May 2021 – Mszczonów, Poland – In April 2021, FM Logistic Central Europe completed the implementation of the latest version of its transport operations management system (TMS). The new tool, thanks to its extended functionality and the use of modern solutions, will provide the operator with more efficient service, control, and reliable management of its customers’ supply chain. The system is delivered by BluJay Solutions Ltd.
The latest version of BluJay’s Transportation Management, part of LSP Platform is a best-in-class, cloud-based application that allows automation and optimisation of transport operations. It provides a clear view of the full distribution process at every stage from ordering, planning, and supervising the execution of the order to billing, invoicing and comprehensive reporting capabilities. The tool is flexible, enables easy integration and cooperation with a wide network of partners in the supply chain, both carriers and customers.
“We have been using BluJay’s transport management solutions for several years now. The new release offers many benefits for our transport operations, so we took advantage of the opportunity to upgrade and will be on the most current version moving forward,” says Magdalena Lubańska-Wiśniewska, Transport Director, FM Logistic CE. “Thanks to this we have significantly optimised our service and created added value for our customers. Taking into account the fast-growing FM Logistic distribution network, the most important advantage of the latest version of the software is the extended module for managing cross-docking warehouses.”
The module dedicated to cross-docking ensures more efficient work management in the warehouse, full control over incoming and outgoing goods, faster planning and loading. This is made possible by such functionalities as online productivity indicators, planning by scanning, automatic assignment of docks and allocation of dynamic zones. The new system configuration, based on predefined criteria, will suggest the right place in the warehouse for the consignments of individual recipients in a dynamic manner, so that the transshipment process runs as efficiently as possible, allowing even better use of available resources.
An important innovation ensuring the operator’s supervision over the distribution process is a mobile application for subcontractors. It enables full integration with Track & Trace system, thus monitoring a shipment along its entire route in real time, immediate confirmation of delivery in the TMS system and communication with the driver.
BluJay Solutions Ltd. is a world leader in software for logistics and transport services. The solutions provided by the supplier help ensure stability, speed of operation and use of the best IT technologies.
BluJay’s Transportation Management, part of LSP Platform, is FM Logistic’s next step on the way to optimising transport processes through new technologies. Other solutions implemented by the operator include access for both customers and recipients to the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) tool and robotisation of administrative processes by RPA (Robotic Process Automation).
