Customer Cooke Aquaculture recognized as top project for innovative supply chain transformation enabled by BluJay

Holland, MI – June 29, 2018 Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the executive’s user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, has selected BluJay Solutions as a recipient of an SDCE 100 Award for 2018. BluJay is a leading provider of supply chain software and services powered by the world’s first Global Trade Network.

The SDCE 100 is an annual list of 100 great supply chain projects, which can serve as a map for supply chain executives who are looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations.

BluJay is recognized as a top technology solution provider, with customer Cooke Aquaculture featured as a top 100 project for supply chain transformation in planning, execution, and visibility across its global business units. The global seafood shipper implemented BluJay’s SaaS Transportation Management solution, transforming its manual transportation processes into an integrated and automated workflow. In addition to gaining visibility into global freight, Cooke Aquaculture was also able to streamline management of its dedicated fleet for internal and for-hire use.

Realizing the benefits of a true SaaS TMS platform, Cooke has increased real-time supply chain visibility across internal and external users, improving customer satisfaction across its network. Internal visibility allows their dedicated fleet to actively plan for backhaul revenue to keep trucks and drivers utilized, while also decreasing costs through planning and execution compliance. Results include improved carrier management and invoice structure, as well as rate savings. Cooke’s streamlined processes also freed up personnel for more value-add activities and oversight that did not previously exist.

“We selected BluJay Solutions as our TMS solution based on their excellent customer service and willingness to meet our requirements. Their teams exceeded our expectations and the overall BluJay organization continues to provide exceptional support as Cooke Inc. evolves in our freight management,” said Dwayne Stoddart, Director, Global Logistics at Cooke Aquaculture.

The SDCE 100 projects show how supply chain solution and service providers help their customers achieve supply chain excellence and prepare their supply chains for success.

“First and foremost, we want to congratulate the winners of this year’s Top 100 for their successful and innovative projects, which serve as models to companies of all sizes what is achievable in their supply chains,” says John Yuva, editor for Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “Regardless of company size, these projects are best-in-class examples of the types of efficiencies and bottom-line results that supply chain executives should be striving toward in their own operations. Our 2018 winners provide a roadmap for how to get there.”
