Melbourne, AU – 16 September 2020 – BluJay Solutions, a leading provider of supply chain software and services, today announced that Flyjac Logistics has deployed BluJay’s Transportation Management for Forwarders platform (TMFF) to improve operational efficiencies and customer service.
Headquartered in Chennai in Southern India and founded in 1990, Flyjac Logistics is one of the leading integrated logistics solutions providers in India, specializing in freight forwarding, warehousing and transportation management. Flyjac is part of Hitachi Transport system Japan, which has more than 100 global offices and 46,000 employees across the globe.
Upgrading to BluJay’s technology platform, Flyjac intends to increase operational efficiencies by automation and integration, increasing data consolidation and most importantly, improving visibility and real-time information sharing with customers and overseas partners.
Previously customers were receiving updates through various modes, with the Flyjac team preparing reports manually. Now with BluJay’s technology, Flyjac can offer real-time visibility to customers through the platform without the need for time-consuming manual updates.
“Visibility, functionality and productivity are key for us. We are evolving as an Integrated Logistic Solution Partner and we always leveraged the use of latest technology to provide solution to our customers. With BluJay’s Transportation Management platform, we can standardize the process and provide real-time, end-to-end visibility to our customers and improve operational efficiencies. Our ability to integrate with other systems is a key factor for adding value to the customers,” said A.V. Ravikumar, Managing Director at Flyjac Logistics.
“For our customers, the benefits are significant. They can now have complete visibility and track the movement of their goods in real-time. Once the data gets populated into the system, we’ll also start route planning consolidations. From the request for quote right through to proof of delivery, we can provide our customers with transparency across the entire process,” said R. Kumaran, Head of Supply Chain Solutions and IT at Flyjac Logistics.
“Upgrading to this new platform provides more scalability and configurability in terms of workflow processes. It also allows us more flexibility from a finance point of view as we’ve moved from a CAPEX to OPEX model,” said Kumaran. “With efficiencies created by BluJay’s platform, Flyjac will be able to manage more than 25,000 shipments per month, helping to grow business.”
Flyjac’s relationship with BluJay began almost 20 years ago. Over this time, use of BluJay’s supply chain execution solutions has resulted in heightened visibility and agility across the business, allowing for predictive and proactive action helping to provide a competitive edge.
Flyjac has been using BluJay’s Transportation Management for its road transportation and supply chain operations since Nov 2019. Now, the company has gone live with Transportation Management for Forwarders and customer visibility with track and trace, which has been seamlessly integrated with SAP and CM-IN customs. The project was fully executed remotely online, launching across 29 offices in Pan India and UAE, with 250+ business users.
The company has plans to launch a mobility platform in the near future and is also exploring other innovative technologies such as AI and robotics.
“Flyjac Logistics has always been ahead of industry trends, and we’ve been glad to be there every step of the way over the past two decades as the team has innovated and evolved its technology solutions to keep up with the demands of the market,” said Katie Kinraid, BluJay’s General Manager, Asia Pacific.
