Together again – resilient, connected, and ready to take command of supply chain opportunities.

BluJay’s SOAR is back – in person! We are pleased to present the opportunity to engage with peers, partners, leaders, and experts to make the most of your investment and participation in the BluJay community.

One of those opportunities is hearing from our amazing keynote speakers. This year we are pleased to present Captain Scott Kelly, a NASA astronaut, and Peter Hinssen, author and serial entrepreneur.

History-Making NASA Astronaut; First to Complete a Year-in-Space Mission

Captain Scott Kelly will headline the main stage on Tuesday, September 28, sharing the story of his year in space – and how personal determination made the difference when meeting challenges on space missions and in his personal life. He set the record for the total accumulated number of days spent in space, the single longest space mission by an American astronaut.

With humor and an engineer’s eye for detail, Captain Kelly covers the extreme dangers in space: the isolation, physical impact on the body and pressures of living so closely in a small cabin, as well as facing the risk of space junk or catastrophic depressurization. Scott details that no matter what life throws at us, courage and preparation can mean the difference between life and death, or success and failure for a team.

Also a successful author, Scott wrote the best-selling Endurance: A Year in Space, A Lifetime of Discovery and Infinite Wonder: An Astronaut’s Photographs From a Year in Space, which is a collection of photos documenting his journey on the space station.

Serial entrepreneur, adviser and keynote speaker on the topics of radical innovation, leadership and the impact of all things digital on society and business.

Our keynote on Wednesday, September 29 is Peter Hinssen, author of five bestselling business books, and a sought-after keynote speaker, business school lecturer, and serial entrepreneur.

Peter has given numerous keynote speeches around the world, among which those for Google Think Performance, Nimbus Ninety, Gartner, NEXT Berlin, Tedx, PayPal, MasterCard, Microsoft, CIO City, SAS, Accenture and Apple. He lectures at renowned business schools like the London Business School, the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine and is also a multiple board advisor on subjects related to innovation and technology.

For more than fifteen years, Peter led a life of technology start-ups. His first company e-COM was acquired by Alcatel-Lucent, his second, Streamcase, by Belgacom, and Across Technology by Delaware Consulting. His third venture (Porthus) was quoted on the stock exchange in 2006 and acquired by Descartes.

Peter’s current company nexxworks helps organisations become fluid, innovate and thrive in The Day After Tomorrow.

We can’t wait for you to hear from both of our keynote speakers at SOAR, as we help transform supply chains into proactive engines of opportunity.
